The online tour shows a fragment of the legendary model of the Grand Kremlin Palace by Vasily Bazhenov, created in the 17th century. During the tour viewers will find out why the architect suggested demolishing all existing buildings in the Kremlin for the construction of the Grand Kremlin Palace, and why Catherine the Great cancelled the construction of the colossal structure after dismantling the Kremlin wall and laying the foundation of the future building. The online tour is conducted by Yelizaveta Likhacheva, director of the museum.
Talyzins' Estate of the 18th Century tour
During this online tour viewers will learn the history of the Talyzins' Estate, which includes the history of several architectural monuments. The building of the Estate was designed by the outstanding Russian architect M Kazakov in the style of classicism. The Ruina annex was also built in the 17th century and initially was used as stables. In the 1990s the building quickly fell into decay. David Sarkisyan, museum director, gave life into an abandoned architectural monument in the 2000s. He also called the annex by the poetic name Ruina. The online tour is conducted by Yelizaveta Likhacheva, director of the museum.
